Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

Where are you located?

I’m based just outside Cambridge but serve clients throughout the UK and beyond.

Do you work remotely?

Yes. Most of the work I do is carried out remotely.

Where required to work at your premises, travel, and accommodation are recharged.

Please note that I endeavour to work as cost-effectively as possible.

How big is your company?

The clue is in the name. I carry out all consulting personally. My wife, Michelle, is a co-shareholder in the business and is responsible for marketing and business administration.

I keep the company small by design. I don’t subcontract any work to junior or inexperienced staff. What you see really is what you get.

An expert consultant who genuinely cares about you and the success of your company. And most importantly, one who will help you and your team to make a lasting difference to your business results.

Chris Dunn Consulting Services Limited is registered at Companies House.

What kind of projects do you usually work on?

I help companies to evolve products, services, and customer journeys to create brand value, customer loyalty, and competitive advantage.

Many of my clients are B2B businesses looking for guidance and support as they develop direct-to-consumer sales and service channels.

Over the last 7 years, I’ve successfully completed more than 30 projects. These include:

  • Benchmarking and auditing
  • Business coaching and mentoring
  • Qualitative and quantitative research
  • Building business cases for structural investments
  • Customer journey mapping and business process improvements
  • Development and launch of new product and services portfolios
  • Ownership life cycle mapping and monetisation of customer contacts
  • Restructuring of teams, reporting, training, and incentives to drive compliant and consistent sales
Which industries do you specialise in?

I specialise in helping companies in consumer electronics, home appliances, and heating and ventilation aftermarkets to improve customer experience and profitability.

With an extensive track record in sales, service, and marketing, I can also provide more general business change and business development support to companies in other industries.

How long do projects normally take?

The duration of a project varies according to a number of factors, including:

  • Business urgency
  • Size of your organisation or team
  • Project scope – particularly complexity and co-dependencies
  • Prioritisation and availability of resources within your company

As a guide, the length of my consulting engagements has varied from a few weeks for straightforward business development initiatives to several months for company-wide business transformation projects.

How much do you charge?

Each project is unique and therefore requires an individual quotation tailored to your exact needs.

To uncover your needs, I’ll discuss with you your project aims, timetable, budget, scope, and other issues.

Following these discussions, I’ll submit a written proposal that includes the scope of work, resources required to complete the work, defined stages of the project, estimated timelines to deliver each phase of the project and the associated pricing.

I help smaller companies with less money available for consultancy as well as larger organisations with bigger budgets.

Everything I do is tailored to your individual situation.

Let me know your budget and your business needs and I’ll let you know how I can help you.
